This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Hinge on rear liftgate window separated from the window and prevented window from latching. (the hinge failure cocked the window and made it crooked on the liftgate.) this window has only been opened maybe 2 - 3 dozen times total in 7 years. If I hadn't been focused, I might have driven off and window might have blown off the vehicle as most of my driving is on highways. If someone else had been driving it and not noticed the imperfect way the window closed (which would be probable), the window most assuredly would have blown off due to wind turbulence.
The back heater has completely failed. The dealership has told us that this is a recurring problem and GM has issued a service advisory notice. But they can not help us on the problem, now it is going to cost us over 700 dollars to repair the problem, they said that the module, the actuator and the heater doors have failed. They have to replace all the parts and it will take 4 days to fix the problem.
