The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 mph, the sunroof glass and sun shade detached from the vehicle. As a result, both landed on the roadway. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed that the glue around the sunroof housing failed. The mechanic stated that the entire sunroof assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 166,430.
The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the sunroof leaked whenever it rained and he could hear air blowing through the sunroof when he drove. The contact received a recall notice (recall information unavailable) but was told that the serial number did not match ones affected by the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000 and the current mileage was approximately 68,000.
