2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. Noticed a futter/rattling compressor like sound when accelerating. Appeared to be from air conditioning (A/C) condenser & compressor air vents in the front and back of the Tahoe was not cooling off. With A/C off it will not make this noise. Caller, talked to several people with the same problem. The problem was intermittent. Replaced tensioner pully, compressor, and now I am told it wa S the ac condenser. I have already spent $1100, and warranty only paid for 1 item. I now need $500 for ac condensor to hope to have vehicle back to fair condition. I would like Chevrolet to recall/replace this in the vehicle, as well as others due to Chevrolet knowing this was a problem. I want payment of $800 paid to me for out of pocket expenses I had to pay when the vehicle only had 57,000 miles on it. I own a 1999 pathfinder and never had any of these problems. I would like someone to contact me as soon a spossible.

Chevrolet Tahoe 2002, transmission failure. The consumer purchased a vehicle that once had a transmission problem, the consumer was told the transmission problem had been fully corrected. The consumer then found out that the transmission was never fixed and the vehicle has been in the shop for a total of 3 times. Not only was the vehicle slipping, slow to shift and exhibiting a noise when shifting from park to drive, there were other problems such as not being able to turn the key in the ignition, the seat warmed light illuminated when the button was pushed, the speakers were cracking loudly, the A/C light came on by itself, the moon roof rattled and was leaking, the cargo power switch did lock the doors within 5 seconds of the cargo door being closed, the handle on the third row seat fell off, the cigarette lighter was missing, and the rubber stripping on the cargo door was loose.

The blower has gone twice (first time was Jan 2003) since owning vehicle, it suddenly stops working especially at low temperatures (under 32F). Defogger system does not work. Dealership has fixed problem twice. Back blower works fine.
