: the contact stated the ABS light illuminated causing the antilock brakes to malfunction. The service dealer stated the electronic braking control module needed to be replaced. The contact expressed concern that this was a defect.
While driving a whizzing sound came from the ABS brakes. Somehow, the computer for the ABS brakes caused a lock up. The cost of repairs was quoted to the consumer as $1,100. Took vehicle to dealer, who indicated that ABS brakes needed to be replaced.
