Safety issue: While traveling at highway speed, the drivers seat right side back support bracket failed. The only thing keeping it upright is the left side bracket and seat covering in tension. In my opinion, a seat bracket should not fail during the life of the vehicle. I do not push back on my seat, as I have seen others in there vehicles to create more space behind the steering wheel. In fact, I sit up close to the steering wheel in an upright position. The vehicle has not been involved in any collisions during the life of the vehicle. I have been driving the vehicle since 5 miles on the odometer.

August 2001 I purchased a new 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe from danvers Chevrolet. That fall the dealership replaced the faulty seat belt and the seat. The seat belt is still not operating as originally intended and GM will not admit fault. The repairing dealerhsip - hillcrest Chevrolet in salem, MA (have been great with me) are not allowed by GM anymore to replace seat belts or to attempt to fix the locking mechanism that immediately chokes anyone sitting in the seat - as if the car was involved in an accident you cannot more anything but your eyes! hillcrest employees have seen and experienced the problem. GM has the same problem with the trailblazer but are not willing to help me anymore - I made them aware of the seat belt law in Massachusetts; they don't care. I need help to get the seat belt fixed so it can be used. If anything happens to anyone in my car because of an accident; if I get stopped and a ticket because the seat belt can't be worn - I can't imagine what will happen. I am in tears over this and am desperate for help. Please help me. Cathy comora-favaloro.

In the process of folding down the upright portion of seat back heast rest flipped back aggressively, one of the passengers had hand on/near/over headrest slot; thus while pushing down the seat the headrest unexpectedly flipped back, pinning the finger in the slot and lacerating it from side to side, the spring loaded headrest remained taught until seat is lifted back up beyond the latch release point after which the headrest must be flipped forward to latch back into position, the passengers finger was fractured, required seven stiches. Currently, has to go to a hand specialist for nerve damage. Nlm.

Seats are designed to accomodate a male not a female. Since females are more likely nowadays to buy this vehicle, comfort issues are problem. A major deal is the way the seat folds you in half opposed to reclining you. Also the seat support presses against your middle back causing you to have to push your torso outward while your legs are downward. You feel like you are constantly having to flex your ABS and it is just a major discomfort especially with your back. Please note that only 1man noticed this problem but each and every women noticed it also -immediately, resulting in loss of sale to other manufacturer's vehicle. I have names and complaints even from a female owner of an older denali with comfort seats who dislikes the new seats. Also the seat-belts are extremely tight. The seats dont go back far enough and the rear seat has no leg room.my compalints resulted in different solutions like "we can't alter the seat at all or it'll void the warranty" "you should have noticed that before you drove it off the lot, it's yours now" "you can take it to an upholstery shop but you'll have to pay for it" "the latest, take it to upholstery shop and see what they can do which the upholstery shop said not much since GMC put the airbag in the seat" knowing all this, I should have purchased the plain tahoo because the discomfort was not worth $13,000 difference!
