This is the second transmission to fail in the truck. Both times out of warranty. Other friends have had the same problem, 1 with Suburban , 1 with P/U, 1 with Tahoe. Blogs state this trans is not the correct trans for Tahoe and is the same trans in the Trailblazer which is smaller and lighter. Chevy dealers deny any problem except one that did admit (off the record) a trend for this trans to fail. Symptoms are trans not engaging in gear from a stop, whining noise at speed , slipping (like slipping a clutch) and final failure where trans whines and has no ability to move the vehicle except at a slow idleing pace. Any one else have this type of problem? Any solutions?
