While driving 40mph, driver applied the brakes and pedal went to the floor. Vehicle did not stop, only slightly slowed down. Was informed by dealer, after taking vehicle there, that problem was due to air getting into brake lines and causing a loss of brake fluid. Dealer bled brake lines to release the air. Dealer found master cylinder low due to pad wear, replaced front pads, cleaned and adjusted rear brakes as well, consumer also added that brake warning light lamp did not illuminate.
From the time of ownership there were concerns with the braking system, when pedal is mashed it would go almost to the floor, master cylinder was replaced, but still did not solve problem there was still no pedal, was advised by mechanic that this is the way new vehicles are being made, second occurrence unable to brake, the vehicle he made an awful noise and had run completley off the and hit the dirt bfore stopping.
