New Tahoe. Trip to see kids in Iowa. After exiting the freeway for fuel or other stops and then returning to the freeway the shifting was awful .. a real kick in the rear. Took the Tahoe in for warranty service 3 times before the problem was resolved. My recollection was that the rear end oil was the problem .. definitely not the transmission.
Problem returned years later when I had the rear end oil serviced.
Have recently had the Transmission overhauled with a new Torque Converter and the problem is now noticeable with local travel although far less severe than before mentioned highway travel.
