This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
After contacting GM about several incidents of brake failure I was told they were investigating this problem but my vehicle was out of warranty and nothing would be done by GM. No further explanation followed. The braking problem on this vehicle has resulted in one crash w/injuries and three other occurrences were a crash was narrowly averted. Contact with others across the us indicates the ABS has a problem known by GM, but GM refuses to make reparation. I received facial lacerations due to this problem and consider GM's attitude one of "[xxx] the customer...you're on your own". I firmly believe multiple people will have to die before GM with admit these vehicles have a problem with the ABS.
