I bought a '18 Suburban and the AC stopped working at 50,300 miles. A web search revealed this was a common problem with GM vehicles and a class action settlement increased the warranty to 6 years 60,000 miles for '14-'17 vehicles. I believe my vehicle was likely in production at the time and I should be afforded the same warranty extension for this issue. The response from Chevy customer service is that there is no recall and my vehicle is out of warranty. I found this information of little help as I knew that before I called them. I wish I had known about the defect at the time I was considering this purchase. I likely would have selected another vehicle. Now even if I trade the vehicle the value will be diminished by the cost of the repair $1,490.00.
