2016 suburban. Hood and roof look horrible, looks like someone took sandpaper to them. Rest of car looks practically brand new. Purchased new with extended protection plan inside and out for 7 years. No resolutions as of yet. Only a professional detail which did not help.

Suburban LT 5.3L V8

Clear coat is failing on the hood and roof of the car. Car has always been well cared for (wash/wax) routinely. Took the car to a professional detailer to assess/correct the problem and was advised that this is clear coat failure which is apparently a very common issue on these vehicles. Very disappointing for this to happen on a $60K car GM should stand behind their product. I have older vehicles from other brands that have been cared for in the same manner as this and they still look new. Looking to GM for a remedy or to join the class action.
