I PURCHASED THE 2015 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN USED IN NOV 2015. IT HAD APPROX 15K ON IT. I BEGAN TO NOTICE A RESONANCE NOISE AND SLIGHT VIBRATION AROUND 46MPH. I REPORTED IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY BALANCED THE TIRES. THIS DIDN'T RESOLVE PROBLEM.
I AGAIN REPORTED THE PROBLEM TO THE DEALER AND THEY TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND FOUND THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY ADVISED THAT THERE WAS NO RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM AND THAT THEY HAVE HAD THE SAME COMPLAINT WITH 2014 SILVERADOS AND ALSO OTHER 2015 SUBURBANS.
THEY EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM IS CAUSED WHEN THE VEHICLE SHIFTS INTO 5TH GEAR OF THE 6 GEAR TRANSMISSION. THEY ALSO SAID THE REASON FOR THE PROBLEM HAD TO DO WITH THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE AND THE 6 SPEED TRANSMISSION DEALING WITH THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE. THEY HAVE HAD NO SERVICE NOTICES FROM GM OR CHEVROLET ADDRESSING THE PROBLEM. ALTHOUGH THE PROBLEM IS ANNOYING, THE DEALER ADVISED THAT IT IS NOT HARMFUL TO THE OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE!
