Only 56,000 miles and the A/C started blowing HOT air. According to research on the web this is an all too common problem with the 2015 to 2017 year groups. I saw that GM put out an extended warranty but the dealer checked my VIN and my suburban wasn't covered. I heard there is a class action lawsuit about this issue. If anyone knows how to sign up, please let me know. Thanks!
Our AC condenser went out and the condensers were on back order. It was awful driving around in the summer heat with no air! Our mechanic told us they were on back order because everyone's Chevy Suburban condensers were failing. In a nutshell, he told us that the AC condensers are made incorrectly for the new construction of the engine and that there is no recall because Chevrolet can't redesign the entire engine. Therefore, he warned that he can put the new AC condenser in, but there are no guarantees that it won't go out again. Every time I turn on the air, I cross my fingers.
