The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the brake pedal would depress to the floorboard. Additional brake pedal travel would be required to stop the vehicle. The contact stated that no warning light was illuminated. Over the years, the contact had taken the vehicle to several independent mechanics where several brake repairs were performed on his vehicle however, the brake failure persisted. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

Brakes light anti-lock/skid E-brake keeps activating, but does not show up as a code or problem. Intermittent code P015B and P015D at the shop sometimes this code does not appear or at different shop code is active. Brake light comes on when stationary and stays on. P code occurs when in motion. I have a syncup drive on my vehicle so I get the P codes, brake code never comes up same when at the shop

Service trailer brake system message would be displayed and the stability control would turn off randomly while driving down a street or highway. The engine stalled randomly and all the gauges turned off while driving on the highway twice. At times there would be no power when you turn the key to start the engine, but if you come back later it could start right up. It sounds very similar to NHTSA campaign number 14V614000, but that recall doesn't come up under my VIN on this site or on the dealers system

Have replaced calipers 3 times since August 2018. Started with squealing of brakes and then taking to mechanic to find that caliper was "frozen" and eating up the brake pads. The ABS pump is not releasing appropriately and causing the brakes to remain in a braking mode while driving. It is not both sides at the same time. It has alternated sides so the master cylinder was ruled out as an issue. Inner and outer tie rods ends were replaced first, and then the first set of calipers. Then brake hoses, pads and rotors were also replaced. At that point, the squealing happened after about two weeks of driving and we found it was a caliper sticking. Thinking that it was a faulty replacement, it was replaced and did fine. Two weeks later the same happened with the other side. This has happened another time since the first set was replaced. At this point my mechanic had figured out that the ABS pump was what was causing the issue and because it was somewhat intermittent, it didn't trigger a code in the vehicle. He was able to do testing that showed failure on the side the caliper was not releasing on and then after about 5 minutes, it released, he retested and it passed. He called his oem supplier who then told him this was a "known issue" and that there were only 5 of the pumps available nationwide and all were spoken for. About a week later, the rep let him know that the part was in production with a ship date of Dec. 3rd 2018.

The vehicle was in cruise control at 75 mph. While trying to switch lanes and disable the cruise control with the brake pedal the vehicle accelerated. We were unable to slow the vehicle as it reached a speed of 115 mph. Driver put both feet on the brake pedal as we tried to slow the vehicle for just approximately 10 minutes while weaving in highway traffic. The vehicle suddenly stopped and slowed.

The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that while driving and making a right turn, the brakes would erroneously activate causing independent deceleration. The contact also indicated that the air bag warning light was illuminated and the horn had also failed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 36,000.

When braking or slowing down this Suburban acts like it wants to keep going, like a jerking motion forward and back, making the stop hard, as if it is trying to accelerate and brake at the very same time, because the rpms are constantly moving up and down switching from V4 to V8 mode. Going down hills and going up an short inclines the vehicle does the same jerking motion, forward and back until I come to a complete stop. When taking off and keeping a low speed under 35 mph the vehicle cannot maintain the speed, it acts like it wants to stop ( it never has died) but I have to punch the accelerator to get the vehicle to pick up its speed again. While I was in a school pick up line just coasting along around 10 mph, my foot was not on the accelerator or brake and the vehicle moved forward on its own. The issues seem to all happen at a low speed, from 0-40mph. I have taken this vehicle in to the Chevrolet dealership on several occasions for the same issues as I have described above. Each time they are unable to duplicate the issue. My biggest aggravation is that this vehicle does not do this every time I drive it, which makes it difficult to be duplicated. I am concerned that when I am coming to a stop that the vehicle will not stop and rear end another vehicle. This issue started around 2000 miles and has continued to this day, currently this vehicle has 7500 miles on it.
