Takata recall - I have been waiting for the dealers to contact me ever since the recall was announced. I have called 4 dealers in my area every month with each time being told we're working on it. I've got young children who sit in the 2nd row and am pregnant, due in October. Will there by any movement regarding this recall? it is worrisome that it seems to have slowed if not, stopped.
The dashboard is severely cracked in multiple spots. I fear if involved in an accident my airbags would be compromised. Not to mention one crack is on the passenger airbag which is recalled due to the takata inflators recall that seems to never be resolved. I am aware of many GMC/Chevrolet owners that have this issue.

Takata recall about 2 years ago, I received a card informing me about the air bag inflators being defective. I called the dealer that I bought the vehicle from and they transferred me to parts department. Upon stating they had not received the replacement parts, they advised to call back later. This has been going on for 2 hears but they state the parts have not come in. I do not feel comfortable driving myself or putting my family for trips in the Suburban without replacing the air bags.
I own a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban with the GM recall #2049151/NHTSA #16V381. I have contacted my local dealer by email and phone calls for an appointment for repair and I keep getting told "there are no parts for the repair at this time, and you will be connected when they are." My wife and four little children ride in this vehicle daily. I have worked at various Buick, Chevrolet, and GMC dealership over 10 years, and have never seen recalls take this long to resolve.

My vehicle was identified in May 2016 as needing to have the airbag replaced. I have called the hotline on 3 separate occasions and was told that I would be contacted once the part was available and would be told which dealership to go to for the recall to be fixed. The notice that I get when inquiring about an update is that the "recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available."
