I've seen a little bit on the internet about this. Swelling airbag inflators may be present as mentioned in airbag recall. No direct evidence of that for my vehicle specifically, yet perhaps, but the vehicle is part of the airbag recall. If your vehicle has this recall and you have a large crack please add your complaint accordingly. The following is not vehicle specific but generally, I've read that vehicle glass design is integral with safety in a rollover to help prevent roof collapse beyond criteria. I'd think that for states that require insurance to cover windshield repair only for that interfering with driver visibility should be revised in this regard. Also, a recall resolution should, if justified, cover related cracked windshield repair cost. As a disclaimer, my comments are not intended to imply any fault owing to the manufacturer of my vehicle, it's glass or airbags.
