I was told by a few owners of vehicles like mine, same year and model, also other models made by Chevy the same year.these people have all experienced the same problem with their speedometer. Some had it repaired at their expense, (anywhere from $250 to $500). I think this is a major problem which Chevy is refusing to take charge of. If it were only my vehicle, I wouldn't complain. I have heard of numerous people with the same complaint.

Speedometer and other gauges just stopped working over time. First one... then another. Just find it a pain and I would not expect those to malfunction.

WHAT'S UP WITH GM PRODUCTS SPEEDOMETERS NOT WORKING. NOT FUN WHEN YOU'RE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY PASSING HP'S RADARING AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW FAST YOU'RE GOING BECAUSE SOMEWHERE ALONG THE TRIP YOUR SPEEDOMETER DECIDES TO STOP REGISTERING. DOES GIVE THE KIDS SOMETHING TO LAUGH ABOUT WHEN YOU'RE GOING ON A VERY WINDING CURVY ROAD AND YOUR SPEEDOMETER SAYS YOU'RE GOING 130 MPH.
