Suburban Z71 V8

This went out at the same time our transmission went out. It seems like other vehicles have had both problems. Maybe Chevy should get on this one. Sounds like both go out way too early.

Suburban LS 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 49,900 miles

This is my 4th suburban over the past 40+ years and NONE of them have EVER had the instrument cluster go out. We were on a long trip and all of a sudden it went over 120 mph on the gauge and stayed there. Got it out of the shop yesterday with new cluster replacement and now I am out $325.. I really expected better quality on this for what we paid for it. Hoping that Chevy will realize this should be a recall item!

Suburban LS 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

After doing MUCH research about this on the internet it seems that A LOT of people have had the same problem. Speedometer sticking, instrument cluster intermittently working. This is dangerous, particularly if your gauges aren't working properly! I see that the 2003/2004 models have been recalled...what about 2005??? $650 may not be a big price to pay for safety...unless you don't have it and it is a recurring problem in the same vehicles!!!
