2002 Chevrolet Suburban experiencing problems with the power steering sensors. The sensors reacted sporadically. The consumer also experienced this problem with his 1999 GMC Yukon.
While driving 60 mph consumer lost power steering however, consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and pulled over. Consumer contacted the dealer, and was informed that the power steering unit needed to be replaced.
2002 Chevrolet Suburban had power steering failure. When then power steering failed the consumer was not able to steer the vehicle. The consumer feels that the design of the system should allow the driver to have full control of the steering even in the event of failure.
There has been a problem with the power steering since April 2003. Vehicle lost power steering while driving. Vehicle has been to the dealer four times, but the problem still occurs.
