This engine is been nothing but problems and now it goes through a quart of oil about every 1000 miles. I stopped putting synthetic oil in it because it keeps using it, so I switched to cheap conventional oil instead. Also the damn thing smokes when it's been sitting at idle for awhile. I would never buy another Chevy ever again.

I never had a vehicle that would use at least 2 quarts every 3,000 miles. I have talked to other truck owners and they do not have that problem. chevy needs to fix their big engines
