Driver's shoulder harness retractor does not retract shoulder harness assembly. Have had the vehicle into the dealership for warranty repair on the shoulder harness assembly, but the repair work did not remedy the problem.

Passenger's seatbelt will tighten up when clicking retractors inside. Consumer had to take seatbelt apart to take it out. He felt like he was in a straight jacket, it was so tight. Dealership was aware of problem. Dealer states they have fixed problem, however have not.

After purchasing new 2000 vehicle, unable to properly secure child's safty seat into middle position of third row seats due to position of seat belt. Additionally, there is not means provided to secure safety strap. There is only one secure point provided, but it is next to a window and seat belt can'nt be properly secured to permit no movement with car seat. Also, the seat belt snaps are not positioned in the seam of the seat but several inches out from the seat back, thus making it impossible to secure any seat without movement. Manufacture representives have assured me that the safest seat in the vehilce for children is the middle position. Then why is a secure point next to a window and using a seat belt that relies on sudden stop of vehicle to stop the the movement of the seat belt? 2nd issue - Firestone tires provided by manufacture were only inflated to 24 psi (that should have been 80 psi),with vehilce was delivered at sale. Thus giving false safety to new owner. It would appear that dealer might not be following prescribed saftey requirements in prep of vehilce prior to delivery to buyer. In light of the national concerns regarding Firestone tires, it would be assumed that all Firestone tires not to mention all brands should be up to proper safety inflation standards prior to sale to public. Please provide input on how these issues can be resolved.
