Car will move on it's own even though I am not pressing on accelerator. It will not stop until I press on the accelerator or brake. It will go for a long while and goes up to 5 mph. Can't figure out what causes it, but noticed it while waiting to pick up daughter and it was idling suddenly while in park the RPM shot up without my doing anything. I can usually control it by pressing on the accelerator then the brake to stop the loud idling.
While putting vehicle in gear the rear brakes locked up. Consumer had vehicle towed to the dealership and had the rear brakes ajusted. The rear brakes locked up again while driving on the highway which caused the consumer to lose control of the vehicle that resulted in an accident.
Consumer states to date, no solution to the referenced problem has been found to remedy the unsafe an inordinate amount of time and money required to only fix the brake system, due to premature failure, (there has been an on going problem with brakes and the safety of this vehicle every since the purchase) consumer would like to be compensated for the monies spent on this vehicle which should of been covered by the dealer (jim cooks) due to there lack of proper equipment/work done improperly. (the second address for consumer is; 4 sanctuary drive, burnsville, nc 28714, and no. (828)675-0033 (April 15th-September 30th)& the above address and no. Is from Oct 1st - April 15th)

The braking system failed and the customer is responsible for replacing their front brake pads approximately every 16000 miles, the situation was compounded by the fact that the rear brakes were not engaged when the vehicle was delivered from the factory, the consumer believes these problems are caused by an engineering and/or design flaw. Vehicle pulls left and right and chatters vibrates. Consumer had brakes replaced 5 times in last 30,000 miles. Dealer has invested time in trying to rectify vehicle, such as checking tire and working on front end. If brakes are applied in a emergency situation vehcile will dive into another lane. Dealer hasn't been able to find a remedy at this point. Axle seals were leaking in front. Vehicle would not start in the am, had to be jump started.

When brakes are applied front pulls to left, and sometimes to right. This also happens when a bump in road is hit. Dealer has worked on this vehicle a number of times, but problem has not been solved. Consumer also complains of soft pedal, steering wheel also pulsates when braking, dealer has switched rotors from side to side, replaced out of round rotors, replaced front brake pads twice, and resurfaced rotors and drums, dealer rotated tires and vehicle still pulled. I was in the process of putting this together before when the computer punted me out! so if I repeat, I am sorry. Since the start of my ownership of the 1999 3/4 ton Chevy Suburban, I have not been happy with the braking system. When I am applying the brakes coming over train tracks or rough road the brakes make a graoning noise. It only seems to happen going over rough road and tracks and if I have to come to a sudden stop. I believe the brakes are drum brakes, which seems to be "old" technology. I think the newest technology for sport utility vehicles is seen in the Ford Expedition...disk brakes. I think these would be beneficial in a vehicle weighing 3/4 ton, because it would give more stopping power to the driver, as is illustrated in most of the cars on the road today. I don't know what can be done about all the brake problems people have experienced with the GM Suburban (Chevy and GMC), but something must be done, before someone gets seriously hurt! I also have another great suggestion....I had a 1993 Chevy Suburban and a 1981 VW rabbit convertible, and both had car fires...ergo the suggestion to have the manufacturers of all vehicles, include a fire extinguisher as standard equipment on a car. Thank you for your help, and I hope this type of notification gets some attention!
Brakes have continually experienced pulling while braking almost resulting in vehicle collision on one incident, unable to rectify. Mjs (attorney for consumer).
Front brakes malfunctioned causing the vehicle to swerve right, brake pedal vibrated indicating that the anti lock feature activated, vehicle swerved approximately two feet to the right, brakes have worked prior and after this one occasion correctly, consumer states he has two 1999 Suburban and one 1995 that also experience brake problems.
