GM has screwed the public on the recall for ABS systems. The 1999 Suburban is certainly one that should have been included in this hazardous breaking system problem.
We are lucky to have no injuries to our family and others when I attempted to stop at a gas pump for fuel. The brake system failed and I over ran the pump to stop when hitting the rear of the vehicle at the next pump station. This could have been much worse if I had been at higher speeds. Only doing about 5mph and trying to slow down but brake pedal would not depress. absolutely no brakes. no codes or check engine lights. System reset with power off and on able to get vehicle home safely but problem is continuing. Appointment made to have brake system checked and wheel speed sensors changed. This is just another example of GM not taking care of safety issues.
