This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Our ase mechanic states they have replaced ~35-40 similar chev Suburban radiator failures in past 24 months in their shop (documentation on request). These have been associated with water pump failures, intake manifold leaks and occ. Head gasket failures when coolant has leaked over engine. Among ase mechanics in our area this is a well-know, "lemon" design failure which will cost me $900 to repair.
