I was driving 35-40 mph when I lost acceleration. I have 3, 000 miles on my 2014 Spark. There was a loud boom, and I was propelled forward, I thought some one hit me from behind. The engine light came on immediately.

I bought a new car for peace of mind, I don't want to have to worry about my safety or think about mechanical problems, this is a big disappointment since the car is only 3 months old and it's already in the shop. I am now uncertain about the road trip/vacation I planned on taking, worried about my safety. If this had happened while crossing lanes of traffic it could have turned out badly. I was told it diagnosed as being a transmission problem but it fixed itself. I am not satisfied that the problem has been fixed, nor do I now feel comfortable driving it.
