Bought a Chevy Spark 2014 when it was brand new, and it ran great for about a year until problems with the acceleration came up. I mentioned it to the dealership several times and was instructed that it was due to other issues that the Spark also had in the five years I've had it. Recently, the acceleration problem has become so bad that I was unable to get out of a left-hand turn quickly enough and nearly got hit by another car. I took it into the service center as it was still covered under the power-train warranty, and was advised that it would need a new transmission. They kept it for two weeks, and when I brought it home the engine is running LOUD and the car is still struggling to accelerate. It takes a full ten seconds at stop lights to go, and it is now jerking when you gas it. Brought it back to the dealership and was told by a service manager that it is just how the car runs, even though it seems to be running worse now after the transmission replacement. I am trying now to go through the warranty to see if I have any other options. The car is dangerous, and I don't feel safe in it, especially where I live. Most of the people at Chevy the dealership or otherwise seem totally uninterested in helping me.
