Anytime I have any trailer connected to my factory trailer harness and plug, I get an occasional error message on the display of "check trailer wiring" and a ding on the warning bell. It is very random and occurs on some trips on a regular basis and is annoying as hell and other trips it will only occur once or twice and others not at all. Using same trailers and plugs (4) each it is random to all 4 and no consistent effect on just one trailer. specifically seem to go off on tight turns and railroad crossing or speed bumps.

I have cleaned all the contacts on truck and trailers to make sure of contact and all test ok for continuity to ground through the quick connect plug and receiver. I have read the service bulletin that is related to this and did the corrective action that was described but still have issues.
