I received a recall notice back in July 2015 - indicated that the air bag could upon deployment rupture producing metal fragments that could pass through the air bag cushion material, which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants.
Chevy continues to sell cars with the revised air bag configuration but has failed to fix vehicles previously sold.
