This is the second failure of transmission since new, GM dealer rebuilt transmission for the second time. The first time the transmission when down was at appx 20000 mi they replaced the converter under warranty and now at 50992 it when out again plugging both coolers and cost me a new radiator as they could not get the debris out of the oil cooler in the original radiator. This truck was bought as a work truck and had a plow pkg installed at factory. The two gentlemen that have put on 90% of the miles are two of my most careful drivers.
Am I going to get only another 30000 miles before I have to spend another $3200 for a factory rebuilt transmission?
I will replace this truck with a more dependable truck and I do not think it will be a Chevy or a GM as I should get a transmission that is not as good as Fords. My own personal Ford truck that I push to the limit has over 80000 miles and never had any transmission problems.
