While driving 60-65 mph extreme vibration occurred within the steering wheel. Dealer replaced the tires, which did not correct the problem. This problem occurred due to a malfunction within the rack and pinion assembly.
General Motors notified me that the bushings in the lower control arm and the bushings in the rack and pinion needed to be replaced to correct a serious vibration problem. There is also a GM service bulletin containing this information. These two conponents are part of the "steering". GM has informed me that they will not replace these bushings a the present time. Having a defective steering assembly causes a safety problem for me and my family. Any other required documentation I will be glad to provide.
