The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that while driving 70-75 MPH, there was an abnormally loud sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle independently decelerated to approximately 50 MPH then down to 40 MPH before being able to pull off on a nearby exit. The contact stated that the vehicle then stalled and lost motive power. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the fuel pump module had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired due to the part being on backorder. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,000.
