- This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about the multiple alternative gaseous fuel vehicles General Motors offers. Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans 2011 through 2016 offered a dedicated Compressed Natural Gas system. Refer to the latest version of PI0417 for more information. Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana 3500, 4500 Cutaway Vans 2012 through 2016 offered a dedicated Liquefied Petroleum Gas system. Refer to the latest version of PI0722 for more information. Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra's 2013 through 2016 offered a combination of Compressed Natural Gas and Gasoline fuel systems. Refer to the latest version of PI0834 for more information. Chevrolet Impala's 2015 through 2016 offered a combination of Compressed Natural Gas and Gasoline fuel systems. Refer to the latest version of PI1330 for more information. The Compressed Natural Gas fuel system operates under high pressure up to 3600 psi. The Liquefied Petroleum Gas fuel system operates under high pressure up to 300 psi. Service and repair of this system should only be performed by a General Motors trained alternative fuels service technician with the proper knowledge and tools.
