Diesel Exhaust Poor Quality Warning false alarmed and began restricting vehicle speed thus limiting range the vehicle can travel to less than 250 miles and at speeds significantly lower than posted speed limits. Potentially leaving a motorist stranded or vehcile incapacitated when traveling distances greater than 250 miles from residence. 1st warning reduces speed to 65mph after 100 miles 2nd warning reduces speed to 55mph after 75 miles 3rd warning reduces speed to 4 mph after 75 miles The warning light has appeared on the vehicle on 3 separate occassions and never due to DEF being expired or old. On all three occasions vehicle was taken to local Chevrolet Service Department for repairs. First incident January 10th 2022 replaced 2 thermastats, Second incident February 9th 2022 added fresh fuel, Third incident April 1st 2022 replaced secondary NOX sensor. My safety is at risk if I were to use the vehicle to travel long distances, use the vehicle for towing or attempt to travel on the interstate. No assurances have been made by Chevrolet that repairs have truely fixed the issue as it continues to recur and each time I am being charged by dealership for different repairs. The issue has been reported to Chevrolet Customer Care whom have been difficult to communicate with, only agreed to re-imburse $41 of the over $2000 in repairs, and do not seem to care about my safety concerns.

While driving on the highway I started to lose power and so when I pulled into the airport parking lot my truck stalled while I was still in drive. I tried to restart the truck however it would not crank over so I had to contact a tow company. What I found out was that it was the high pressure fuel pump that went out causing severe damage to my fuel system by sending metal shavings into all of my fuel system to include my gas tank. GM had a class action suit for this year of truck for this issue at hand and I am wondering why they never initiated a safety recall on this defective part? I could have been stranded somewhere on the highway and I have a family with three kids which cold have made it worse if they were with me on a trip. This is a safety issue in my eyes and if GM knew about this happening why have they not fixed it now I am being charged $8900 for repairs when they knew this was an issue. If I would have been on the highway this could of been catastrophic to not only me however to the public traveling on that same highway. I have all the tsb's and internet research on the lawsuit filed but cannot upload.

We have had two sets of fuel injectors replaced and a fuel sensor put in. Just turned 83000 miles and now the code P11db is showing which is the nox sensor, not covered by warranty even with all the fuel system issues we've had.

The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. While driving 30 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning and failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel injection system failed from within the inside and the entire system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

Serious risk of fire: This model has an pressure sensor on top of the gas tank (and fuel pump) that when it malfunctions causes strong fuel odors and fuel to escape from the tank and run down the frame and out near the back bumper.

On Aug 2, 2015 about 25 miles East of grand junction co. Driving speed was about 65 mph on interstae I-70. My Chevy Silverado 2500 went into a computer shut down.being a skilled professional driver, with a class a cdl I just made it to the shoulder before truck shur down, truck and travel trailer I was towing needed to be towed to ed bozarth GM dealer.on Monday I was informed would need to pay $ 775 to determine point of failure. At the time a company called speedco was and maybe suspect as to cause. The did a oil change and fuel filter in w. memphis ar. This service was done on July 24,2015. On July 25,2015 truck no start, speedco came out with another fuel filter. When first fuel filter taken off, there were no gaskets. However GM appears to be conceling material facts as to internal service bulletins. This bulletin as to point failer was printed Aug 3, 2015, 5 pages. A estimate by said dealer was given to speedco and myself in the amount of $ $8,692.02. When the fuel injection pump went, sent metal shavings though my whole system engine, fuel oil, cooling system ect. GM has know about this problem for a long time, however failed to disclose to its customers. In my opinion to allow for warranty to expire. Once speedco was presented with service bulletin they backed down from paying. GM had proved to speedco that GM is the problem. I have contacted GM in detrioit many times with different case numbers. One phone call I got from GM, stated the original estimated stated above was far low. When I asked how much, stated to me could not say however much higher. I'm in possession of a lot of documentation. I havn't scaned the documents yet. This truck was purchased in Oct. Of 2013 for $ 56,000, bank financing. Also this truck was purchased to earn a living pulling new travel trailers. My excellent credit is on the line due to this lemom. Truck had 20K, with warranty.

Driving at approx 35-40 mph approaching a hairpin turn tried to break and vehicle did not slow down slid through the corner into a rock, put the vehicle is reverse and pressed accelerator the vehicle RPM increased on own tried to break the RPM did not diminish(foot off accelerator) before I had time to shut the truck off I hit a tree behind me. It appears something stuck in accelerator (mechanical) or the computer system( electronics) failed. The vehicle has not yet been tested.

On acceleration from a stop, the RPM's race while shifting. Vehicle acts as if the transmission is slipping from 1-2. early in the life of the vehicle I thought this was only something that happened the first time shifting after pulling out of the garage however, as the truck gets more miles on it, the problem happens more often and when taking off from stops when hot. Vehicle was brought to dealer to diagnose complaint and was told there was a bulletin to address this problem but since the tech couldn't verify it, they didn't do anything. Dealer said I have a good powertrain warranty so if something breaks later I should be covered. Not only is this unprofessional and poor customer service, they literally did nothing to attempt to diagnose or confirm the problem. There seems to be numerous complaints on this site related to RPM racing complaints.
