Fuel pump fuse socket has melted in addition to fuse being blown. Fuel pump had been replaced twice with OEM fuel pump. Entire fuse box must be replaced. Occasionally, a no start condition can be traced to fuse contacts losing conductivity which can be resolved by removing them reinstalling fuse. Has potential of causing electrical fire

While driving in excess of 55 mph on I 95, my 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 stalled without warning while I was in the far left passing lane. No power steering or power brakes made it extremely difficult to control while moving through 4 lanes of traffic to get to the shoulder. I was unable to restart the vehicle and had to have it towed to a garage. I was informed the CP4 fuel injection pump had failed and repairs will be in excess of $8,000 because the entire fuel delivery system was contaminated and needs to be replaced.

I have a 2011 Chevy 2500. 6.6 turbo diesel at 136K miles. My def heater just went out and my dealership said it's only under warranty until 120K miles. I've been looking online and there's a lot of 2011S that are having the same problem. Someone needs to step up and be responsible for this. It's costing me $1200 to fix plus a day off work. I'm self employed and if I sell a faulty product I'm required to replace for free. G.M should be doing the same.

An article in trailer life (may, 2019) identified that the Bosch CP4.2 high-pressure fuel-injection pump is subject to catastrophic failure. It points out this is a common failure, a design issue and will cost many $1000's to repair. It has been called a "fatal flaw". it should be replaced with a unit that is reliable by the manufacturer if this is a common problem. Michigan S&S motorsport states this is a known problem and is common to 2011 to 2016 duramax diesel Silverado using the Bosch CP4.2 fuel-injection pump.

Exhaust manifold bolts are breaking despite regular non commercial use and proper maintenance. This causes an exhaust leak and I am not comfortable driving my infant in the truck now. Dealer says 4 how odd labor plus parts so approx $1000 fix? that's unreasonable for any motor but especially under 120000km.

On Oct 4th, 2014 I was traveling from san angelo, tx to san antonio, tx, in my 2011 3500 Chevrolet diesel pickup, pulling our 5th wheel camper. When I neared junction, tx I could smell an odor of fuel. On I-10 eb mile 456, I noticed that my fuel gauge was rapidly dropping. When I left junction, the gauge read half full. At mile marker 497, I pulled into a rest stop, because the fuel gauge had dropped to the empty mark. I got out of the truck and could see the diesel pouring off the bottom of the motor. When the dripping stopped I attempted to start the truck, but it would not start. The starter motor was running, but the fuel tank was completely empty. In that distance the truck should have used five gallons of diesel pulling the trailer. Which means that about 14 gallons were dumped onto the highway within 40 miles. My truck was towed to cecil atkission Chevrolet in kerrville, tx. The diesel technician there told me that mine would be the 4th diesel he recently worked on with a similar issue. He even showed me another diesel truck that he was currently working on, also with a fuel leak.

Once the vehicle is in park it is sitting up and after putting the vehicle in reverse and starting to drive the vehicle lowers to the ground. The vehicle pulls when driving and causes an additional pull on the engine and fuel system.

Tank was filled to less than 1/2 tank and after stopping at location and restarting vehicle. Fuel level read empty. Fuel levels and computer system not accurate. Multiple occurrences. I did speak with the dealership and they "think" it could be the fuel pump. It has been doing this since the initial purchase. New vehicle status.

Everytime I go to the pump it kicks out like the tank is full. If you hold the nozzle as its barely coming out it will work normal but you cant even use the lowest notch on the pump to set it on to pump gas, it wont work. So it needs to be fixed and I've told the Chevy dealer about it and they said there is nothing wrong with it and no recall. Im trying to make it a recall now so it will be fixed.

The truck had the check engine light come on when we took it to the dealership they replace the fuel pressure regulator. The light soon came back on due to a faulty fuel pump which sent the car into safe mode, which made the car do a nose dive from 55 to 15 in a matter of seconds on a major interstate in atlanta.
