THE DRIVER INFORMATION DISPLAY SHOWED : DEF FLUID SYSTEM NEEDS SERVICE SEE OWNERS MANUAL CHECK ENGINE AND DEF WARING LIGHTS ALSO ON.
CHECKED MANUAL AND IT STATES "SERVICE DEF SYSTEM NOW" WTF
THE CODE WOULD CLEAR WHEN THE BATTERY VOLTAGE DROPPED BELOW 11 VOLTS, (FACTORY BATTERY DISCONNECT TO SAVE START UP VOLTAGE)
TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE CHEVY DEALER TWICE AND THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM UNTIL I RECORDED THE CODE AND TOOK THE TRUCK INTO THE DEALER WITH CODE ACTIVE.
CHEVROLET HAS KNOWN ABOUT THESE ISSUES AND REFUSES TO ISSUE A RECALL. IF YOU DO NOT CORRECT THESE CODES THE TRUCK WILL GO INTO "LIMP-MODE" AND WON'T GO FASTER THAN 55MPH
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU'RE TOWING 20,000LB TRAILER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT OR TEXAS WITHOUT A CHEVY DEALER? IT BECOMES A SAFETY ISSUE!!
