Power steering lines rust through and spray down motor compartment. GM also has a known issue with the throttle body switches not functioning correctly causing serious loss of power immediately and has a service bulletin, but only honored if less than 120K miles and that put my truck out.
Vehicle lost power, all warning lights on dash lite up. Message on dash read "reduced engine power" speed reduced to approximately 15 mph with no acceleration. After stopping at a repair facility no obd codes appeared and on restart vehicle operated normally. A second incident occurred in late February while turning a corner. Same symtoms but at much more dangerous location.
Tried to put gas into my fuel tank and it took 20 min to put in 10 gal! took my truck to dealer and they put in a revised evap vent valve solenoid! on the web I see that this is a common on 2006-2013 Chevy trucks! why does Chevy not fix this as a recall!
Engine, powertrain and electrical shut down, fuel shows empty when full, has happened nine times while at speed. Have to coast to stop where ever room can be found, turn key to off and wait then restart.
