The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that the front driver's side door failed to open from the inside or outside. The contact stated that no warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the door failed to open with the key fob or the door button. The contact stated that the door was cut open with a grinder, metal cutting wheel, and torch by an independent mechanic. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the locking mechanism that was attached to the door frame was damaged. The vehicle was not repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 196,290.
I parked my truck and went to get out the door would open I tried unlocking the door by remote and by the knob after several attemp's with the remote I was able to get out it also happen two more times the following day and also the door wouldn't latch I had to lock an unlock a few times by the remote to get it to work.. a friend of mine has a 2009 denali he has the same problem but on the passenger side.
