Noticed the dash has a large crack on the driver side area. Called Chevy and the response was, "welllllll your truck really old" anddddd "you can contact corporate" (nice was to say, "Your going to get nowhere.")
My truck is seldomly used and has only 55,000 miles on it and is in pristine condition. I have done some research and noticed there are hundreds of complaints regarding dash issues. I have had numerous cars in the past that sat in the sun after 20 years and (drumroll please) NO CRACKED DASH!
The only real solution I can see is to replace the whole dash as I don't see a bs type of "repair" going to work i the long run. Guess I'm screwed, thanks GM!
Like my daddy use to say, "you want to know all the issues of a specific make/model, go to the service dept and ask a mechanic, don't go to sales as they just want a quick commission......"
Update from Sep 24, 2018: Finally got some one on the GM line that was willing to have GM pony up $500 towards the replacement of my dash. I paid $600.00 (still sucks), but now its replaced and all good. Hopefully will have no issues with this one......
