I had to have the entire braking system removed and redone, including the rotors, calipers and all the brake lines. I only had 56,000 miles on the vehicle. It is parked outside but on asphalt. I had maintained the vehicle properly. I would like to know how to contact the Chevrolet company to file a complaint. I have not taken pictures but can include them in e-mails to anyone interested who can give me advice.
WENT TO DO REAR BRAKES ON MY 2002 CHEV SILVERADO HD AND HAD TO BUY TWO ROTORS AND ONE CALIPER(REAR DISC)THEN AFTER INSTALLATION TO MY SURPRISE WHILE BLEADING THE BRAKES MULTIPLE LINES STARTED LEAKING. GOT ON LINE AND WENT TO EGR BRAKES BOUGHT A COMPLETE BRAKELINE KIT PRE FORMED READY TO INSTALL STAINLESS STEEL, HAD TO WAIT TO SHIP AND DID THE INSTALL MYSELF BUT WONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE LINES FOR YEARS TO COME. $340.00 PLUS TAX AND FLUID AND ONE SATURDAY AFTERNOON WITH THE WIFE PUMPING THE BRAKES ,DONE!
