The vehicle started shaking uncontrollably without warning, the driver was able to pull over. The driver noticed that the right side tire sidewall exploded. The driver was able to change the tire. The driver drove to the dealer for inspection. Firestone steeltex at 245/75R16 #dot yn11bab. Please provide additional information.
The consumer noticed while inspecting the vehicle all four tire had stress marks located on the exterior of the sidewall wheel. The consumer has contacted the manufacturer for an appointment and inspection. Goodyear Wrangler at P245/70R16 please fill in additional information on the #dot.
September,03 I had one Bridgestone dueler LT285/75R16 separate, causing serious vibration. Replaced tire with same type tire and remaining tires were inspected by dealer for safety and re-mounted. Next week dueler exploded causing $4200 damage to left side of truck and significant hearing loss. The tire was inspected twice by Bridgestone. First time they said tire indicated that tire struck something. Second time was just a denial as I had asked Bridgestone to mark on the tire where it had hit something. I new it had not. Mr. Sheehan, their insurance adjuster478 7501166, told me they should have paid the claim. I did not include the hearing loss in the claim. Numerous people have informed me of the same problems with dueler tires and bridgestones denial/fraud tactics. Something needs to be done by the us government to prevent deaths and injuries.
Firestone steeltex R4S, size LT245/75R16, dot vn11B103600. A bubble developed in the middle of the tires, causing shimmying and vibration when driving at 40 mph. Firestone suggested that the problem was due to road hazard.
My wife took my truck to work. At the end of the day she drove about a half mile and stopped at a stop sign. While waiting for traffic she heard a pop. When she took off the tire was flat. The sidewall blew out. There is a blowout from the rim to the pavement.
