Letter from congressman perriello on behalf of constituent re safety defect in the electronics that control the seat movement in GM vehicles (dot/I#2010-2133) 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. The consumer stated when he attempted to move the seat forward or back after releasing the switch, the seat would continue to move all the way forward or all the way to the rear. Also, on occasion the seat moved back and forth on its own without activating the switch.
