When applying the brakes pedal goes all the way down to the floor. And doesn't grab at all. Then, a few second later, brake pedal grabs, and vehicle will stop.
Steering shaft connected to steering column was loose. Dealership replaced it. Also, when consumer was traveling at a high speed anti-lock brakes were not operable, and when he applied brakes vehicle vibrated.
The brakes failed at 30mph and I almost hit someone the ABS went out on me, and I had no brakes for about 1 minute. The pedal was hard and the truck would not stop. Dealer has it now replacing a ABS part.
While driving down the road applied brakes, and pedal will go right to the floor. Had to pump brakes for vehicle to stop. Contacted dealer, he can't duplicate the problem.
While driving and appying the brakes vehicle will not stop. Took vehicle to dealer on the 12th of April, 2000. They replaced master cylinder/booster, and and ABS brakes. But, problem still occurs.

Brakes constantly went out. While driving consumer would press the brake pedal to slowdown, but automobile would continue to move as if brakes were not pressed at all. After brakes were pressed a couple of times, then automobile would stop. Automobile has been taken to the dealer and held for 3 weeks. One day after the consumer picked up the automobile, brakes went out again. This could cause consumer to have a serious accident.
Brakes get hard, then suddenly give and lock up. Several near misses due to increased stopping distance. Clunking noise in front end that can be felt in steering wheel.
When driving vehicle and coming to a stop hit a bump, and brakes dropped down close to the floor, reducing braking power as it dropped. Consumer feels it is unsafe if vehicle won't stop at the distance where consumer is trying to stop. Took to dealer, and they said it was normal with those type of brakes.
Rear brakes locked up, brakes has been replaced three times. When consumer applied brakes car started to vibrate. Chevrolet agreed to fix by 15-Jun-2000 or refund full purchase price.
While driving at low speed consumer could step on the brakes, and the brakes will feel hard. But vehicle would not stop, resulting in extended stopping distance.
Anti-lock brakes experienced failure on several occasions. One incident during rainy weather brakes locked up, causing collision due to loss of control, no deployment of airbags, resulted in injuries.
While driving brakes lock up. Likewise, when going to slow down for a turn consumer will just slam on brakes, and it feels like putting on the emergency brake. Because of this problem, consumer has constantly hit his head on steering wheel.
Rear suspension design permits rear wheels to become airborne when driving over small bumps. This causes momentary loss of control and erratic performance of the anti-lock braking system. I was unable to stop after going over a small bump and nearly hit the vehicle in front of me.
Truck pulls to the right whenever the brakes are applied.tony ogburn, who is the regional manager and I test drove the truck, he witnessed the truck pulling to the right when I appied the brakes. His opinion was that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle, the truck has been in the repair shop 4 times for this problem and still it is not fixed.
