The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the defroster failed to operate properly and only two vents cleared the fog from the windshield. When the failure occurred on a cold day, the heater failed to operate and impacted the visibility on the driver's side of the vehicle. The fog was extensive and caused condensation. Paul masse Chevrolet South (399 main St, South kingstown, ri 02879, (401) 515-4904) was notified. The contact purchased a fan to place on the driver's side to prevent the condensation due to the vent failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

When the temp drops below freezing and it is snowing/raining out side you can not keep the windows defrosted. They are so fogged up on the inside of the truck you need to either drive with a window down on keep a towel in the truck to wipe the windows clean to see. Had truck back to the dealer but the parts they installed never did any good. Please help the people that live in colder climates get some help with this problem. I had the same problem with the 2008 truck I got rid of to purchase this one. The dealer claims to know nothing about any problems.

When the air temp starts to drop to about 35 degrees the truck automatically turns off the air conditioner compressor and if there is any moisture on the coil it is then blown into the cab of the truck and severely fogs up the inside windows making it impossible to see out. Had to pull over and keep windows down until the moisture evaporated. (shower effect on mirror).
