"takata recall" the Chevrolet dealership has not been able to replace our airbags because they have not received replacements. All they tell me is that they have been waiting for these to be manufactured since 2016!!! so what happens in the meantime" do we drive around with these defective airbags hoping that they don't kill us" no one is giving us answers! the fact that this is dragging on for so long is ridiculous considering someone can be killed or seriously hurt by these airbags.
This is a recall that I am unable to afford to fix myself. I am just expected to ride around in my truck and hop nothing happens" or if I am hit that the air bags don't malfunction? while this may not be a specific incident right in this present moment, I am worried my wife will be filing this out because I have died, or seriously injured myself. Why has this recall been allowed to go on for so long" I am lower middle class struggling to make ends meet. I dont have hundreds of dollars to repair this issue.

Takata recall. I have a 2009 Silverado 1500 lt 4X4. My vehicle is impacted by the passenger side airbag recall with takata. I have been waiting for over 2 years for a resolution and have gotten nowhere other than receiving a letter that takata had filed for bankruptcy. This issue is extremely frustrating! it is dangerous for anyone to ride in the passenger seat of my vehicle and nobody is doing anything about it. I call and speak to GM and they say they feel confident that my truck is safe yet people are filing injury claims against GM because their airbags are causing them harm. I need this issue resolved!

Cracked dashboard by passenger side air bag. My concern is if the air bag is deployed will it cause the dash to shatter causing more injury. I had the same crack in the same place on my 201 3 Tahoe but I have traded it in. It seems that there a major issue with multiple Chevrolet vehicles similar to mine.
