2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Consumer states vehicle burns oil at a rapid rate the consumer stated after numerous attempts to correct the problem, he has not been able to stop the engine from burning excessive amounts of oil within a short period of time. The consumer believed the rings or piston walls were defective and believed the engine should be replaced under warranty.
The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that when driving 40 mph and above, the vehicle would stall abnormally. The contact stated that he was always able to immediately restart the vehicle. The vehicle was neither diagnosed nor repaired for the failure. The manufacturer was contacted via email.
