The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while traveling approximately 5 mph, the brakes failed and the emergency brake had to be applied in order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic, who diagnosed that the brake lines were corroded and there was a loss of brake fluid. As a result, the front and rear brake lines would need to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 84,000. Updated 10/7/14
