The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving approximately 10 mph, the engine stalled and the vehicle restarted. There were no prior warnings. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated there was a wire shortage underneath the dashboard area. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000. Updated 08/31/11 the consumer also stated the rear passenger door fell off. Updated 09/01/11
