The contact stated that the air bag light illuminated and remained on for the past two weeks. The failure was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 105,647.
The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the heated seats switch would malfunction, causing the heater to turn on while the contact was driving. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership where the switch was deactivated until the part arrived; however, the heater was still turning on by itself. The vehicle had not been repaired when the complaint was filed. The contact had not spoken with the manufacturer when the complaint was filed. The current and failure mileages were 61,148.
Heated seat in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado Z71, heat comes on by itself, gets extremely hot. Took it to a dealer and was told if it did not come on in the shop they could not find the problem, did not show up on the computer. This happens almost daily.
