: the contact stated the vehicle shimmied in the front and rear at 40-60 mph. The contact was unable to see out of the rear view and passenger side mirrors due to the severe vibration. The dealership informed the contact there was a problem with the frame on the 1999-2006 model years of these vehicles and they were unable to correct the problem. The right side door was hard to shut. Updated 09/13/06.
The 2006 Silverado only provides two options for auto door locks (1. in gear 2. at speed). Prior to 2005 there was a third option for "no auto door lock or disable". besides being a huge inconvenience to many owners it is potentially a safety issue if you need to exit the truck in an emergency and the vehicle has locked all of the doors for you. Let the owner decide which program to use based on their own needs and preferences.
