- Summary
- This Preliminary information communicates that after installation of GM Accessory Performance Brake Pads it may be noticed the EBCM has set DTC(s) C116C 05 and/or C116B 05. There will be NO warning lights or messages displayed on the IPC/DIC.    The GM Accessory Performance Brake Pads do not utilize the brake pad wear sensor.  None.  These DTC(s) do not cause any warning lights or messages to be displayed in the IPC/DIC.  Per the GM Accessory Performance Brake installation instructions, the brake pad sensor connector should be capped with the supplied cap and the brake pad life system disabled in the DIC.
